Today, I was lecturing my high school students on the importance of a good education. I pointed out the janitor in the hall and told them if they didn't stay in school, they'd end up like him. Then one of my students raised her hand and reminded me that the janitor I pointed to was her dad. FML

Today, the mother of one of my students bitched me out about her son's poor grades. He lazes around all day, paying no attention and being a constant nuisance. But, she says it's not his fault, and demands that I give him better grades so he won't get "self-esteem" issues. FML

Today, I lectured my second-grade class to be more descriptive in their writing. I gave them an assignment to describe something in the classroom. I was grading their work later, and one student wrote, "My class is taught by a fat teacher with gray hair." FML

Today, I was sent to an elementary school for safety day. One of the dads was asking about my job, when I told him about the long hours and high stress involved. He turned to his son and said, "Now see why you stay in school?" I'm a paramedic. With a bachelor's degree. FML

Today, I was doing my job and trying to teach a lazy bunch of 16-year-olds. A girl entered the room just 15 minutes before class ended, so I snapped, "Someone had better have died for you to be this late!" She immediately burst into tears. Turns out, someone had. FML

yeah, because your stereotyping did any good. Most of the time that's the kind of job men and women in the armed forces come home to- jobs that everyone looks down on. Sorry but you're a douche. My husband worked overnight janitorial jobs straight out of the Marine Corps because that's the job he could get, and so he worked his ass off so that he could keep his apartment... and I've watched so many of my friends go through the same thing too. Don't look down your nose at anyone. You aren't better than them... They're working the crap jobs to make a living, and that doesn't always mean they aren't "educated"
