i'm sorry but i have very little sympathy for you on that situation. You've got a big animal versus a teeny tiny animal. Which one do you think is gonna be superior in this situation? Honestly, i think you should have taken the fact that you have a dog into consideration before you let your friend's rodent into the house.

my dog totally ate my freind's bird. we were both fairly young, and he brought his new bird over to show me, it jumped off his hand and my dog just gobbled it right up.

Dogs and hamsters only get along in cartoons, you know ;D When I read the "my dog ate it" part, I was immediately reminded of those "my dog ate my homework" jokes. XD
