I know this is getting off subject... but as a member of a fraternity, I have to defend myself everyday. I didn't join for the booze. I didn't join for the girls. I didn't even join because of "brotherhood". I joined because my organization is values based, and I hold myself to a higher standard. I feel a lot of schools have awful greek systems... it really makes me upset. My organization is over 150 years old... and our founding fathers formed this organization to better themselves, and to better those around us. It's sad to see the news about fraternity men and sorority women binge drinking, sexual assaults, etc. What's even more sad... the news never covers the hundreds of philanthropy hours, the fundraising, the academic standards, etc.
Oh girl, that just sucks. So, so, so sorry. :(
Bitch can't hold her liquor!! P.s. going Greek was one of the best decisions I ever made.... people who aren't involved in it have no room to talk down about it. I know the stereotypes out there, but it's really so much more than that.
yummy!
anyone who is not in a fraternity or sorority always hates on them, its because they do cool shit like get hammered before going to formals and get to enjoy the sight of one of their friends getting thrown up on. being social and having a 100 brothers who will always stick up for you and provide you with something to do is different
....oh and #35 "if joining a sorority is buying my friends it's the best investment i ever made" first of all come up with an original thought.... i saw that printed on a t-shirt earlier this year. and second of all that's the most disturbing statement- you're basically admitting that you bought your friends? instead of spending 1000+ dollars learn some social skills.
