Today, I was on the bus home from work when I felt something strange in my hair. I turned to look, and saw the old woman next to me sucking on the end of my hair. When she noticed me staring, she didn't stop but instead said, "So pretty. Can I have?" FML

I was speechless for a few seconds and just kind of stared at her, then grabbed my hair and pulled it out of her mouth and decided to stand instead. Then I took a shower! I would have said something to her but she was about 80 and from Asia, didn't really know English too well

she could have had Alzheimer's, it affects everyone in different ways, for example my great grandmother never spoke in the later stages but she understood what we were saying my grandma was the complete opposite, and I've known several others one thought she was still a secretary and another thought we were always trying to hurt her.. Alzheimer's can make the person revert to a childlike state.. seems to be what happened with this poor woman. I agree I wouldn't want my hair in someone's mouth it sucks, but obviously something was up with this particular lady. probably Alzheimer's.

As gross as this is, it doesn't seem like she meant any harm. Like others have said, maybe she has Alzheimer's or some other form of dementia and doesn't know any different. Just wash your hair really well or if it really bothers you than you can cut off the part of your hair that she sucked on. I'm pretty sure you can't get an infection or disease from having someone else sucking on your hair unless they also had contact with your scalp.
