Today, I was on the phone with my boyfriend. We were messing around and I always jokingly say, "You're adopted, nobody loves you!" to everybody. His reply, "That's pretty fucked up, I am adopted." He really was. FML

I'm adopted. That doesn't mean nobody loves you. That doesn't even make sense. My adopting parents love me. So does the rest of my adopting family. My adopting mom couldn't get pregnant and my birth family already had many children who had to live with my birth grandma because my birth parents were too poor. So, in short, THAT MAKES NO ******* SENSE!

To be honest, all adopted people can claim they were selected and by extension wanted and valuable. A "home made" person might still be wanted and valuable, but one cannot deny they were not individually picked.
