Today, it was my girlfriend's birthday. To surprise her, I told her that I was going away on business, and could not be there on her birthday. When I show up at her house to surprise her with a present and cake, she opens the door in her underwear, beside a man in his boxers. She was surprised. FML

The same thing happened to me, I made a joke about my boyfriend cheating on me and the name of the girl I thought he spent too much time with popped right out of his mouth! These things happen... Hopefully she will realize you are not that kind of guy and be able to accept it was a mistake. I was mad but I forgave my dude and we're still dating 7 years later. Better make that surprise party extra good though!
