Today, I was rejected from the University of Washington. My dad has been a professor there for 30 years, and is on the board of admissions. FML

That must be equally embarrassing for him.

Obviously you assumed you could just get in because your daddy works there and probably didn't try to do well in high school. Your loss.

You shouldn't be able to get in just because of your dad anyways. Do you think they should let in any idiot who's parent works there?

Learn your own way in life, you don't want to be the girl that "only got in because her daddy's on the admissions board". You didn't get in because other people worked harder

Correct me if I'm wrong but if your parents work at a school, your chances of getting in is higher because they want kids of the school employees to go there! That said, it doesn't mean they will get in!

You deserve it for just expecting to get in

Why did you assume him working there would get you in? If you have a relative or a friend working in the school you apply to, you have to try twice as hard to deserve your place, not just get in because someone put in a good word. There are some in my class, who are total dumbfucks and in only because someone they know works there. It embarrasses them both.
