Today, I was riding the train home, and I sat in the row in front of a homeless woman. I noticed an old man staring at me. I got off the train after a long 6 stops, and the old man who had been staring at me walks up to me and says "The lady behind you was flicking lice onto you the whole time." FML

:O Oh my, he should have told you earlier . Last! >_>

I would have socked him in the face because he didn't tell me earlier. Actually, in real life, I wouldn't do that. I would just mention it to him angrily. But because I'm on the internet, I can pretend to be a big, tough guy who would kick someone's ass for stepping on my sneakers.

YDI for sitting in front of the bitch! But seriously, that really sucks.

How was she supposed to know that the lady was going to flick lice on her?

anyone with sense would know better than to sit near a homeless person

That is a very lice coat you are wearing.

Get to the chemist, and get a lice comb for getting out the eggs, and a formula for killing the live ones. I know how you feel :( (Getting lice) The girl in my class had LOADS, and her mother wasn't prepared to buy her a formula, so we all got it, quite a few times. &&, FYL. You should've hunted that woman down and gave her the left hook, & as for the man, still very nasty thing to withhold information about, but at least he eventually told you. You might never have found out how you got them. But I hope you get rid of them quickly, I wouldn't wish lice on anyone. xx

Nah, just straighten your hair or blow dry it for a while if you're a guy. They'll die from the heat. No use wasting your money.

... Seriously. I know it sounds odd, but this is my greatest fear when riding a bus. And I tell myself it's not likely to happen but wow... D:

Ride the bus just stay away from homeless people or small children and dirty looking people incase they have them too

I do believe clean people can get it too. Actually they like cleaner hair anyways because it's easier to move around. That's what I heard. I could be wrong.

I'll be careful to avoid homeless people on the metro now. To the pharmacy!

I fought lice for a long time, when I was about 9. None of the shampoos worked, not even the prescription ones. Mayonnaise didn't work. Vaseline didn't. My mom finally gave in to something I had been asking for, for a long time. A Perm. She figured "What the hell. Harsh chemicals might kill them." They did. She did the same for my little sister a few years later when she got them bad, only didn't wrap them in the rollers. She put the solution on and left her hair straight. It left our hair feeling a little crispy for a while, but it looked alright. (well hers did. My perm went wacky. it didn't curl it just frizzed out about a foot. lovely.) Perm solution, another endless round of lice combing, and my hair was finally safe. Anyways, good luck OP.

ew you and your family are dirty as hell..getting lice all the time.

Actually, lice only live in clean heads. So, 'dirty' people don't have as much chance of getting them. I can assure you, no matter how much you wash your hair, you can still get them.

I remember when I fought lice for a very long time. None of the methods or shampoos worked, and my mom refused to help me because when she combed through my hair 'the left-over nits look dead'. Only thing got rid of them was me combing through my hair after my morning shower. I forget how long it took but it did work so maybe if your lice are stubborn you can consider that. Hopefully your difficulties won't last long, especially that you caught onto to them early thanks to a slow-working old man.
