OP here. I definitely threw away the toothbrush after this, and brushed my teeth with a brand new, mouse-free toothbrush for about 2 hours straight, and listerine listerine listerine o.o I keep my old toothbrushes around for such occasions when there's a hard to reach, disgusting mess to deal with such as this one XD Thanks for all your comments, I've had my tetanus shot lmao, still going to get checked out by a doctor ASAP

I was trying to imagine how this could be worse and ended up empty handed. FYL indeed, OP.
Have fun with hepatitis :)
What's up with the YDIs?
Because OP *should* have had enough sense to just throw the toothbrush away, not wash it (which then they wouldn't have put it in their mouth, even if it was an old, household cleaning toothbrush). The rodent could quite possibly have some disease/germs that could make OP very sick... This was one FML where I voted both. I feel sorry for them, but also feel unsympathetic because of their choice to wash the toothbrush and keep it. Ew.
I voted both cause no one deserves to have dead rat in their mouth and also why in the absolute name of all things good would you use a toothbrush to clean anything? No matter how much its not used this isnt a story book you can go out and buy a sponge!!
Personally I voted YDI being OP is a prick for using a trap like that. Baiting and releasing is kinder.
That's for being careless.
47-- a toothbrush can clean hard to reach places or do fine detail cleaning that a regular sponge can't. Maybe it's just me and my family, but I assumed everyone used old toothbrushes for some cleaning jobs. I don't put them in my mouth afterwards, though....
A taste explosion!
How does OP deserve it?
is that a madeup story or the fact that youre plain stupid?
