OP here. I definitely threw away the toothbrush after this, and brushed my teeth with a brand new, mouse-free toothbrush for about 2 hours straight, and listerine listerine listerine o.o I keep my old toothbrushes around for such occasions when there's a hard to reach, disgusting mess to deal with such as this one XD Thanks for all your comments, I've had my tetanus shot lmao, still going to get checked out by a doctor ASAP

I literally just gagged!
Old habits die hard.
Guess you'll consider the non-kill traps next time, eh?
annnnnnnnnd I just threw up in my mouth
How come all the comments are sympathetic, and yet most of the votes are YDIs? Anyone care to explain why OP deserved to get a mouthful of rodent remains?
its "animal abuse" thats why
Killing a rat is not animal abuse
Ew wtf
I just threw up a little.. in my mouth

I see a lot of thumbs down for 58, but I thought what he said is correct - could someone explain?
That'll be one to explain to the doctors. "I accidentally brushed my teeth with mouse guts, doc. Can you tell me if there's something wrong with me?"
My guess, 78, is because he typed "rabbies" instead of "rabies."
She is probably fine for rabies. I was bitten by a squirrel and got checked out and they didn't even give me a shot or anything. Always good to check though!
I think you mean rabies not tetanus?
113 - all warm blooded animals can contract rabies, so its possible...
If you really care, you can have the dead mouse tested. I wouldn't, but I like to live dangerously.
Rabies, plague, & other bad things you can get from small rodents..
Opposums don't carry rabies.
Gross! How did you keep from vomiting?
Squirrels do carry rabies, they are rodents.
Opposums aren't rodents, and rodents don't carry plague, fleas on rodents do.
#150, the comment was about opossums carrying rabies. They can and do. However, plague (bubonic here in Cali) IS definitely carried by opossums and squirrels (via fleas).
That gave me chills...uuuggh
