Yes, bc people always do so much damage running over a pebble. would like to see how you would do on gravel
Tell your son to stop being a little bitch! Get him on the bike and tell him to go play with some woodland creatures. It will be like a Disney film!
It sounds like my dad gave you advice.
It's okay he'll get over it probably like you when you went over the Handel bars jk I hope you feel better op
If OP hit the pebble just right, the pebble could have caused the wheel to slide out. I once was riding on a road and ended up skidding 3 feet on my face. Then i flipped three times before stopping. Gave me a scar. Its easier than it sounds to lose control.
Never let a kid miss out on the joys of biking. Specifically mountain biking
Do what my dad did, find the steepest hill you can find, and let go. I still have a scar but damned if i dont love to ride my bike.
Now try that on a dirtbike while relaxed. I nearly broke ribs if not for my chest protector. ALWAYS pay attention.. it hurts your wallet when you need to replace bent handlebars, and a broken killswitch.
Being tensed up and rigid will only make crashes of any kind worse. Why do you think they teach snowboarders and skiers to relax as they tumble down the side of a mountain. When you tense up your body becomes rigid and brittle. This makes it much easier for things to break. You were lucky that you were relaxed.
Teach him that you're not scared and that you'll get back on and ride again.
Sorry but YDI: sounds like you didn't teach him how to pay attention to the road and surroundings.

Not quite sure how a "pebble" caused this much damage.
This is why you must teach them when they're younger and fearless.
