Today, I was sword fighting in a play when I accidentally hit the other person in the head. He called me a bitch and stormed off stage, leaving me alone with an audience of 50. FML

Why is he mad? I thought the point of sword fighting was to hit each others "heads". Jeez I guess I've been doing it wrong.

If you put a gash in his head, I'd understand him running off the stage, sans the cussing. But it sounds like the swords weren't that sharp (duh), so he had no reason to do what he had. I feel for you. You probably had no idea who most of the people were, and having that happen to you in front of any number of people is scary, especially if you have to finish the scene by improvising. To the person saying that they've preformed in front of 3,000 people, try making that INNOCENT MISTAKE and having your co star run off. Just think, 3,000 people staring at you, judging you, no less. Though I doubt that's happened to you, because anyone with that sense of sympathy an judgement would hardly strike a chord in the casting director as someone they'd like to have representing their drama department. So give OP a break, it can happen to anyone. OP, it sounds like you came out of this fairly unscathed, so I salute you for finding a solution to the problem that didn't make you look as bad as your co star, though I doubt you would've anyway. By the way, congrats on getting a part in your play, a part with a fighting scene no less! OK, rant over.

audience of 50? was this a 3rd grade play?

Wow 50 thats a big number you must be famous (sarcasm)

HAHA, Try doing it in front of 500 people, then you can complain, about your mistake, and your stage-mate being an ass. It's only 50 people.

in acting your suppose to go with it. not clearly announce to the audience that something wrong just went down. I hope your director/producer bitched him out for doing that.

50? That's terrible. My high school plays have terribly planning and we have a hundred or more each night.
