Today, I was taking a pizza order at work, and had to ask the customer's name. I couldn't quite hear what he said, so rather than asking him to repeat himself, I asked how it was spelled. He gave me a funny look and said, "Um, A.J.?" FML

#21: I don't have a harsh accent and whenever I give my name out, all I get are blank stares. Eventually I gave up and started giving cashiers a simpler name (that isn't mine) that they can write easily.

It's ok OP . Some of the pizza places I know are quite loud , so it's understandable that you might not hear phone calls properly all of the time. Also his reception or phone could be lower quality , causing the conversation to cut out. It happens to everyone .
