Today, I was volunteering at a school, as I walked past the swings these two girls smiled and said "wow, you are so pretty!". I smiled back and said "awww, well thank you!." As I walked past I hear them laughing, "she actually believed us." FML

Today, as I worked as a cashier, two girls came up laughing. I smiled as I rang them up, asking what had made them laugh so hard. One looked me dead in the face and said, "You." They then both walked away, laughing. FML

Today, while out walking with my son in a stroller, a couple passed by and the girl smiled sweetly at him. It made me really happy, until we passed and I heard her say "What? You're supposed to smile at babies, even if they look weird." FML

Today, we were having a school prize giving. I heard my name called and I walked up to the stage waving and smiling, feeling rather proud of myself. I stood by the microphone and started my acceptance speech, only to be tapped on the shoulder by the girl they'd actually called up. FML

Today, I was at a volleyball game talking with my friends when a girl who is in my team arrived. She was greeting someone else but I thought that she was saying hi to me. However, I'd already waved back at her. All my friends and others noticed the situation and as a result they laughed at me. FML

In times like these, I call up the advice of one of my youth leaders of old: Don't let assholes rent space in your head. How old were these girls? Because schoolgirls can get REALLY immature when putting others down (to be fair, so can boys). Don't take it personally, they're just looking for a way to boost their own low self-esteem

Don't feel bad. A few of weeks ago, a couple of kids in the mall started debating about my gender. They came to a conclusion that I must be a boy. :/ I'm a girl. LOL.

Kids are cruel--I know it's a cliche, but it's f*ing true. And it's even harder to deal with when you're a kid, too. Just because you're older now doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt your feelings! I know exactly how you feel--don't sweat it, there's probably a hundred people who matter who think you're gorgeous.

kids are mean. I love how all the people here are like, "tell them they're adopted" and stuff but the funniest one was #19 , you TOTALLY should have smacked them mute.

Kids like that disgust me. I do not find them cute or adorable, only rude and disrespectful. I wish I had the ability to temporarily mute people, that would make my life so much better! :)
