Today, I was walking to the pet store to buy a month's worth of fish food for my fish so I wouldn't have to come back for a while. For fish food it was expensive. It was also surprisingly heavy and I had to carry it back to my house. When I got home, I saw my fish floating at the top of its bowl. FML

Today, I bought a new Siamese Fighting Fish. I was so happy with my new fish so I bought him an expensive lovely bowl, some weeds, and a toy for the bowl. I left the room to get the fish food. When I returned, the fish was gone, and the cat was sitting on the table. FML

Today, I bought a fish. I put the tank on top of the fridge so my cat wouldn't get at it. I'd forgotten to buy some things for its tank, so I quickly ran out to get them. When I got home, I saw the tank destroyed on the floor, and my cat devouring my fish. I had the fish for less than an hour. FML

Today, I heard a loud crashing noise. I ran into the kitchen to see what it was. My cat had knocked over my fish bowl and had my Beta in her mouth. After scolding her and rescuing it, I decided to clean its bowl. When I went to dump some of the water in the sink, my fish went down the drain. FML

Impatient fish

Today, two of my daughter's fish died after owning them for a year. Yesterday I spent $400 on a new bigger fish tank so that they would be happier. I built the stand, set it up, and got everything running. All I had to do was let it run for a week so that the pH would be fine for them, and then move them across. FML

Today, I bought a fish bowl and a fish for $15. I brought him home and sat him on my desk. Everything was going well until the shelf gave out and his bowl slid off of the shelf... onto my $2,000 computer. The computer is fried and is not covered by the insurance, the fish is fine. FML

Stupid! Why would tou buy expencive fish food?? My science teacher always gave his fish and turtles; dog food, cat food, marshmellos, goldfish, or just crackers!!! They did just fine!!! Till the turtles ate them... We took pictures it was awesome!!!

Wow, I have a fish, And I feed it maybe 1ce a month. I clean its cage maybe twice a year, Or when it has about an inch of water left. Its lived for 2 years. I took care of the fish I had before that, and it died in 2 weeks. DONT TAKE CARE OF IT AND IT WILL FIGURE OUT HOW TO LIVE ON ITS OWN!

I take care of my 3 cats, dog, hamster, guinea pig, and bunny, but I have found 'taking care' of my fish never seems to work out.

Wow you are a horrible person #44, that is insanely cruel. Your idea of "taking care" of an animal is probably beating it to death to get it off your hands. People like you disgust me, I hope someone tortures you like that making you live in a tank full of water and only an inch of air and making you eat and live in your own shit for years on end. Ehm. YDI for keeping your fish in a bowl. You can't expect it to live more than a week, healthily. Fish need tanks, and tanks need proper filtration and aeration. And with all that food, you'd overfeed it and it'd get constipated. And stressed. /fishgeekrant
