Today, I sat in the bathroom on my phone to rub one out after a long day. Wanting to hear the action, I upped the volume until the sound was low enough for me to hear, despite the volume being near max. I continued until I realized my phone was connected to my headset outside near my family. FML

Today, I finally had some alone time to relax and watch a movie. As soon as I pressed play, my neighbor started blasting their music so loud I could feel the bass in my chest. People have varying levels of deafness. In my case I use a hearing aid and can make use of some sounds though the clarity is poor compared to normal hearing. Without my hearing aid, I can hear zilch. Hearing aids do come out for sleep/showers etc and don't always get put straight back in. Deafness isn't a singular experience, there are variations. I don't think OP should have to justify having a speaker or using volume in their house just because they are deaf.

Atleast it was a video and not the real thing. My friend lives in an apartment complex, and she can hear just how much fun the people in the next building over are having.
