Today, I watched as my dad noticed a spider on the ceiling. Instead of getting a shoe, he pulled out a 9mm and shot it. I'm not sure if this is an epic win or a sign that my family is crazy. FML

Well how about this. This tool place in Florida, not new jersey. Yes there was a hole in the roof but he patched it up pretty quick. Yes my dad is a redneck and it was a brown recluse so it deserved to die. XD

Cause cleaning up some spider guts from smushing the thing definitely takes way longer than repairing a bullet hole in the ceiling..... It's not an epic win. Your dad might be crazy or he might just be dumb. Really, really dumb.

If my father shot a spider with a gun inside my house, I'd have him committed. Seriously, what was so difficult about grabbing a shoe or newspaper or any other object to kill it with? No, let's shoot off a gun in a house where my children are. Cleaning up a bullet hole is the best outcome of this story, he's lucky it didn't ricochet off the ceiling and hurt someone.

Ceilings are made of drywall. The average person could punch a whole through drywall. Im pretty sure a 9mm bullet would have no problem going through drywall especially since a 22LR round can do it with ease. Don't be ignorant.

Right because shooting at Spider is by all means intelligent. Sorry I don't shoot guns so I couldn't tell you what they are like, but chances are he's less likely to hurt someone with a newspaper than a bullet.

My husband once shot a snake in the kitchen with a gun. He has shot a mouse in a trash can( i told him that was mean but i did understand he is entirely phobic of mice if I would have been home I would have took it outside) seriously a bullet would not bounce off a ceiling. If he was a good enough shot to hit the spider I am sure he knew it was safe.
