Today, I went downtown to pay my speeding ticket. After standing in line and arguing with a rude woman behind the desk, I get back to my car only to find an expired meter and a parking ticket. I got a ticket while paying my ticket. FML

FYL if you payed the meter, and it ran out because the bitch at the desk was arguing with you, YDI if you didn't pay it. So I won't vote here.

Ever heard of learning from your mistakes? You should try it sometimes.

Some of you guys are mean, and must not live in a big city where you get parking tickets ALL THE TIME. When the only place to park is the street, and there's meters everywhere, you're bound to get some parking tickets.

xzibit would approve of this.

ouch, that sucks on the brightside, a couple years from now you can think back on it and laugh

why would you argue with the poor clerk? her job is awful. you were punishing the legionaries for the transgressions of Caesar don't be a suck a putz next time and take some responsibility.

lol, a few years ago when i was in hs, i had to take a day off so i could go to court for a car accident i had a few months prior, but i got into another accident on the way, right in front of my house.

Same thing almost happened to me. All the parking downtown is on 2-hour meters, but the court proceedings for traffic violations take longer than that, during which time you cannot leave to add money to the meter. When I was able to finally leave after about 2 hours 45 minutes, I was fortunate to find that just two blocks down from the police dept., they had not checked for vehicles in violation.

Um... the easy way to avoid fines is to pay your meter. Overpay if you have to. Otherwise, consider your fine a "stupid tax"

you would have thought you learned your lesson with the first ticket...

So you can't read speed limit signs or parking meters. Do numbers in general elude you?
