Today, I went for a romantic, anniversary meal with my wife. It was amazing, until we had to rush home halfway through because our daughter rang, informing us that her 20-year-old sister had broken her wrist trying to jump from the roof, onto the trampoline and into the pool. She 'miscalculated'. FML

She was home! *Gets run over by a herd of cowboys*

Classic kid in general. I did that minus the miscalculations multiple times as a kid. It ranged between trampolines, pools, and piling up all the mattresses, blankets, and pillows we could find

She's 20 but couldn't go to the hospital by herself? I'm 20 and don't live at home...

Maybe they rushed home because their other daughter was too young to be home alone? She might have been babysitting for them while they were out?

I don't care how old my baby is, if I know she's injured, I will rush to wherever she's at. She could be 35 for all I care, I'll still be there to make sure she's okay, because that's what parents do.

Maybe they don't live near a hospital. She can't exactly drive there with a broken wrist.

She is awesome for even trying such a stunt! Did you post the video anywhere?

Just think. On your next anniversary, though it's not funny now, you'll have something to laugh about then.

I might be that age as well but I know that's not a smart thing to do

I would break her other wrist when I get home.

She's lucky she only broke her wrist. It could have been a lot worse

Not regarding your daughter's accident: congrats and my best wishes for you and your wife! seems to be a wonderful marriage!
