Today, I went into a crowded store and tried out a blazer. I was thinking to myself how hot I looked in it when the manager tapped me on the shoulder and politely said, "Excuse me sir, that's a ladies' blazer." FML

Don't worry op. in Japan they appreciate pretty boys. go ahead an get down with your sexy blazer =]

Who else is thinking of the Friends episode with Ross where that pink sweater that's the same as his date?

Wow, that manager must hate making money! Go for it, buy the thing. If having a "ladies'" blazer bugs you, sew the buttonholes shut, move the buttons on top of them, and make new buttonholes where the buttons used to be. Voila, men's blazer.

So were you surprised to find a woman's item misplaced in the men's section, or was the manager surprised to find a man misplaced in the ladies' section?

I am assuming that the blazer is leaning more towards uni-sex clothing, or the OP just really likes the blazer and decided to try it on. The manager probably told you just to avoid a situation where a customer storms back into the store and demands for a refund.. It is hard to say who is the wrong here because there is no wrong with the OP accidentally choosing the opposite gender's clothing (or because it is his preference), and the manager was just doing his job. If the OP really likes it, but is embarrassed to buy it, I guess he can always get a girl friend of his to buy it for him.

Actually, there is a very small difference between a women's and men's blazer. A women's blazer is sewn in the back while a men's blazer has a slit in the back.
