Today, I went on a date with a guy that I have been crushing on for 2 years. At the end of the date he tells me that he is moving away and as his going away present, I could pay for dinner. FML

I feel sorry for you because you're realizing so late that he's an asshole, but you also deserve it for not working up the nerve to talk to this guy earlier. It would have made life easier to find that out sooner. I knew my friend for years, and I waited WAY too long to tell him how much I cared about him. 3 months into us dating he died in a car accident. My point is, don't wait for that shit, do it as fast as you can. Rejection is not as bad as we make it out to be.

or you could punch him in the balls, and as a going away gift, a fresh ice-pack, and some icy-hot ointment wrapped in a pink bow

It'll turn out that he's just moving across town and he wanted a free meal. Sucker.

Um, did Op expect the "date" to pay? Unless Op was going to go Dutch on this (she pays he part, he pays his) then Op shouldn't complain. Yea its a douche move to tell a girl who likes you that this date was just a free meal, but women expect this all the time. I always offer to pay when I date someone, for my part that is. It's not until you are in a real relationship that the guy should offer to pay and even then why do guys have to give up all their money just so a girl can maybe, possibly, give out to him. If you want to get a guy, Op, a really valuable one, you say "I will pay for my part but don't have the money for your cheap ass. You should have told me before and I might, MIGHT, have done a nice thing for you."
