Today, I went on a date with an extremely cute girl. About 30 minutes in, she excused herself to the restroom. I waited for about 20 minutes, then I got up and left. About 10 minutes later, she called asking where I was. FML

UPDATE: We cleared it up, and are currently planning a second date. Turns out she wasn't feeling well. It all ended up working out c:

You could've told her you went to the bathroom too :D!

That's not good. Taking a dump for that long can apparently get her fired.

She was probably doing her makeup, then had to go number 2.

I'm not sure which button to press, for if I was in that situation I'd probably be thinking that she had left as well.

Just explain it to her as you're setting up a second date.

I agree, there could be a long line. However, if I was her in that situation, I would text him if the lines were that long.

Am I the only one who thinks that she did ditch him, and the call to him afterwards is her putting the blame on him so she gets away with it?

In that case, she'd have to have known that he left the restaurant. It just seems incredibly coincidental that she'd call 10 minutes after he left, unless she was peeking out of the restroom door or had a friend staking out the restaurant to see if he'd leave, but that would be the lamest and most roundabout way to put someone down. It's possible, of course, but not very probable. I couldn't imagine someone being so cold-hearted as to try to pin a stand-up on someone else, but if she were "extremely cute," as OP claims, maybe she has done this to men in the past in order to feed her ego.

Well that is an easy explanation but I have never known a girl just to leave I mean either way you pay the bill
