Today, I went on my first date in 6 months, to a Thai restaurant. We both got food poisoning and spent the entire evening alternately running to the bathroom while pretending that we were fine. FML

Today, I was on a first date at high-end Indian restaurant. I tried to impress my date by ordering the spiciest dish on the menu, only to find out it was way too hot for me to handle. I ruined the entire meal by coughing, choking, and drinking five gallons of water with tears streaming down my face for at least 40 minutes. FML

Actually, that is a common myth. Gastroenteritis can be caused by any food you've had in the past 5 days, not necessarily from the last meal. But considering that Thai food serves rice, it could be Salmonella Enteritidis, which is the most common form of salmonella poisoning in First would countries.
