Today, I went out to lunch with my girlfriend. I asked if she was going to finish her meal, hoping to steal a bite or two. She somehow took this as me calling her fat, threw her drink at me, and stormed off. I just wanted some steak. FML

Maybe next time you can tell her you want a bite because you're hungry?

If you have to tiptoe with your words, she isn't righ for you.

I hope you explain your intention to her and tell her to calm the **** down. Tell her communication is key in a relationship.

I wouldn't take it as though I was being called fat. I think if you said, "Are you really going to finish/eat that?" it would be offensive.

There isn't really an excuse for this that's just overreaction on your girlfriends' part. That's not being insecure I feel sorry for you OP

damn some girls can be really insecure. actually, if she had the guts to humiliate you in public for something so vague, i think she's good riddance.

women are idiots at tyms, I get u dude

We really don't know what's between op and said gf. maybe they just had a baby and she's feeling gross and men can come off " jerkish" when meaning not to be and she's sensitive. it's really hard to say what's going on. but I'll tell u one thing. I'm a married women with 3 kids and not once have I thrown a drink into my husband's face; that's down right low and unrespectful. Way to ruin the evening and relationship

You need to make a sitcom out of your life.
