Today, I went to a fast-food joint and ordered off the $1.00 menu to save money. Five hours later I go to the hospital with food-poisoning. After a whole day of not eating, crapping, puking, having tests, and a bunch of IV fluids, my $1.00 burger ended up costing me $2,000 in bills. Really. FML

#25 and #116: The symptoms from the most common types of food poisoning generally start within 2 to 6 hours of eating the food responsible. That time may be longer (even a number of days) or shorter, depending on the toxin or organism responsible for the food poisoning. I've watched my mom be sick with food poisoning from bad tuna only three hours after eating it. Please know all of what you're talking about before you open your mouth to call fake on parts of the story.

No way it really cost 24 THOUSAND. Hundred, maybe. Also this is why I'd never touch a $1 burger. Still, FYL. Even gross cheap food should be edible.
