Today, I went to a fast-food joint and ordered off the $1.00 menu to save money. Five hours later I go to the hospital with food-poisoning. After a whole day of not eating, crapping, puking, having tests, and a bunch of IV fluids, my $1.00 burger ended up costing me $2,000 in bills. Really. FML

Today, I went out to eat to celebrate getting over the stomach flu. I hadn't eaten solid food in over a week, so I was really excited and ordered my favorite dish. It gave me food poisoning. FML

Today, I had a stomach bug, but despite it I swallowed a mouthful of habanero sauce on a dare. I ended up projectile vomiting on a wall outside, lost my sense of balance and fell over on the sidewalk, almost blacked out from the tightness in my chest, and had to refuse an ambulance that somebody had called. All for $5. FML

Today, after months of avoiding fast food, I decided to eat some McDonald's french fries. Though the fries were delicious, they were not worth the agonizing 15 minutes I spent on the toilet afterwards. FML

Today, I had horrible pains in my stomach area so I went to the doctors. They couldn't find anything wrong and sent me to the Emergency Room for X-rays. After spending the entire day in the hospital, they tell me I'm slightly constipated. I had to pay $400 to find out I had to take a shit. FML

Today, I spent 5 hours in the emergency room for what I thought was heavy bloody diarrhea. After having various implements and doctors' fingers shoved up my ass, it turns out I was only shitting out the family-sized bag of red spicy cheese curls I had eaten for lunch. FML

#31 is rightt. it takes a minimum of 8 hours to feel food poisening. so either this was a bullshit story, or you ate something worse before it.

Dude... food poisoning... Next time that happens, go get a prescription for ondansetron... it dissolves under your tongue, and stops you from throwing up (I think it's by competitive inhibition). After about a half hour, drink gatorade or something like it (not water) that has sugar or some kind of source of energy (no eating for a day or two obviously). You'll still have the pain and the urge to throw up, but you won't (I'm pretty sure you CAN'T). It will be agonizing... but you won't incur the hospital fees.

When will people learn not to eat fast food? It's nasty, unhealthy, morally horrible to animals, and the environment, and in the grand scheme of things, the economy. The way the agriculture and the meat industries in America are run today is not sustainable.
