Today, I went to an ATM to see how much money I had in my account. I put the card in. It never gave it back. FML

Call the number on the machine dude! They all have a sticker with it...it takes like an hour for someone to arrive. I do have to say though, if you're "broke" (as mentioned in the name) because it ate your card, then maybe it's a sign that you shouldn't take money out so much...

ATM's need to eat too! Sometimes its rough for them, with people always taking their money and never giving it back... :(

It'll be okay, ATMs take the card in case you forget to take it back so someone else can't steal it. The bank will give it back.

I guess from now on online banking might be something to look into... Hope you sorted out your card problem

Man, I'd be so pissed if that happened to me. I get really pissed when vending machines take my dollar. You know those stories of banks stealing a few cents from each person so no one notices but they eventually steal a lot in the end? Yeah, I feel like machines who steal are programmed to take a little each time, on purpose. If that's true, then **** those vending machine maker peoples!!! It sucks when a machine steals because you can't really take it out on the machine. The machine doesn't have bad intentions. Nor is it responsible for its mistakes. Its a person, or group of people who are responsible, but you can't take it out on them because you don't know where they are.

If this is the worst thing that happened to you all day, your life is pretty good.

I don't see how this is an FML, this can happen, sometimes ATMs eat your cards! It sucks but is not a tragedy.

This may sound crazy, but it might possibly be stolen, call up the bank you're with and cancel card immedilately.

Everyone's getting so butthurt about people saying call the bank, like geeze, I'm freaking 13, you call the # on the ATM, if they don't do anything, call your bank, cancel the card, and get a new one from the bank, it takes a few days but geeze, those people are missing the first and easier step, but they're no wrong.
