Hi everyone, I'm the one who posted this. First of all. Of course I thanked him! and of course I could have gotten a cheaper lunch, I was going to in fact, but he offered, and insisted, so I accepted, and was very thankful. All of you who keep saying I'm a heartless bitch should have considered that I was commenting on the irony of it and that I was embarassed, instead of saying how my life sucked because someone was nice to me. I thought it was a funny story. I got the impression that many of the stories on this site are funny rather than tragic. I could of course have written he gave it to me and i was super thankful etc etc, but I thought that was kind of implied. Oh and about the currency. My lunch was 31 kroner. But as I currently live and study in the UK, i'm used to thinking in pounds and thought that would be easier for the majority of FML readers. But apparently that makes me a fake, sorry guys! And I do in fact give money to charity and homeless people. Not long ago I gave one man my last 8 pounds (this was in the UK), so he could buy a decent meal, figuring I would be OK until I got home 5 hours later. So those of you who got the irony and embarassement, thanks!

I have YET to read a decent comment that shows SOMEONE understands what the OP is talking about. But you are just too quick to assume things. THINK, PEOPLE! The OP isn't being ungrateful, he's just talking about the IRONY of the situation! How embarassing or strange would it be to have someone who's A LOT POORER than you bail you out!?!?!?! Sheesh. Don't go about insulting the man who paid for your lunch. How disgusting, he does something nice for you and you look down upon him?
BIG ******* DEAL if he was nice enough to pay for your lunch, be grateful about it and don't bitch about some homeless guy helping you out.....

people don't know what the OP is talking about. she isn't ungrateful but embarrassed because someone else had to pay for something so simple. that person just happened to be homeless which might make it seem a little bit worse. i'm sure she thanked the man.
Wow, it's kinda nice to see that kind of generosity. They probably didn't have that much money. Strangers giving you change all the time would probably effect your views on things quite a bit, though.
You need to suck up your pride and get on with it. This was a nice deed done by someone who is way less fortunate than you and you're saying YOUR life is bad? Give me a break if this guy was able 2 afford a computer he'd be on here everyday posting new stuff but NO. You have 2 live in your comfort AND complain about it. Congrats. Your an ass.
