You are a lunatic and she is sane. I think you just learned a valuable lesson today. Have you ever seen someone ride a bike on a snow-covered street? It's surreal! The rider really has no way to stop or turn, so it just looks crazy!

I agree. Besides getting up early, cycling through snow and hail and then having to cycle back through it over a lazy lecturer, I don't see the problem.

In Belgium the preferred illegal secondary passenger position is the back-rack -- excepting racing bikes, every bike has a back-rack. It gives the option for side-saddle :D

I used to have pegs on the back of my bmx, that was actually my preferred method. Doubling on the handle bars seemed too shaky for me.
