Today, I went to eat out. When I sat down, I realized I forgot my straw. I took my purse with me, not wanting it to get stolen. Someone stole my food instead. FML

Glad you learned your lesson from the time your potential employer convinced you to leave your purse in his office!

Going to a fast food joint is not 'eating out'.

Technically anything that involves leaving your home to eat would be "eating out".

Aaaaand, absolutely nowhere did it say that she went to eat at a fast food place. Sooo... Your comment is moronic. Don't assume anything. Assume makes an ass out of u and me. Keep that in mind!

I've worked and eaten at restaurants that are between fast food and full service. The quality and atmosphere is better, but you still order at the counter and get your own drink etc. So your reasoning still doesn't show that she was necessarily at a fast food place. Not that it matters what kind of restaurant she was in anyways.

I have been to places like that that arent fastfood places

Look at it this way, you could be upset that you bought lunch twice. Or be happy you did your good deed (albeit unwillingly) for the day. Imagine how hungry that person had to be to actually steal your food....

Lol going to a fast food joint is NOT safe nowadays.

U sure it got stolen. Maybe an employee trashed it thinking that u left

28- Are you*, stolen?*, trashed it,*, you*, left.*

Hopefully it wasn't an expensive meal.

You do realise that you can actually drink a drink without a straw right?

HeyArnold91 8

Some people don't like drinking right from the cup, seeing as some restaurants don't always hire the most sanitary workers.

As petty as it sounds, I won't take a sip of my drink if it doesn't have a straw. I have really sensitive teeth, and, 9 times out of 10, when I take a drink of my soda without a straw, ice will shoot into my mouth and it hurts my teeth really bad. So I always make sure that I have a straw. There's no need to be snotty. When you eat out, you're paying for your food, good service, and your option to drink or not drink with a straw. Sure, you CAN drink without one. But if I'm paying to eat out, I expect the option to drink with or without a straw. And, like myself, OP wanted her straw. Don't be rude! :[

I wouldn't say he was being snotty. 48, however, was being snotty for sure!

This would only be an FML if the food stolen was KFC.
