Who knows she could just want to be alone, or go out for lunch with her girlfriends guilt free. Maybe she just wants to do her own thing without you... I like the odd day when I'm off and my husband is working I get more done, and can relax do whatever I feel like. Just be straight up with her, no sneaking around or mind games flat out say I went by your work but you weren't there.

...but she still lied to OP. Those are perfectly fine things to need and do, but lying about them isn't. Regardless of the answer to where she actually is, the two of them need to have a serious talk about honesty and being able to trust each other.

Sometimes just coming out and saying it is the best option. It catches them off guard. Trying to catch them in a lie can be deceitful as well and cause more animosity. Communication is a very important part of a relationship for both parties. The GF lied, regardless of her reasons that is wrong, but OP needs to decide if it's worth talking it out and if it is the best way to do that is to just confront her with it.

I would keep quiet till next week and follow. Then if she is meeting up with another guy call her. If she picks up and says she is at work walk up to her and let her know you know about her lies and you are done. I would not give her a chance to lie about why she was lieing about her days off.

Ok, here is another possible answer. With the ACA rules, a lot of people are having their hours cut. To make up for that, they are getting a second similar job at another place. But if that was true, she would have told you.
