Today, I went to my girlfriend's job to surprise her for lunch, her manager said she hasn't worked on a Saturday in two months. FML

I'm quite honestly a bit shocked that the very vast majority of the comments are so narrow-minded. Although I shouldn't be since as a general rule men, and even more women, are so insecure and lacking confidence in dealing with delicate personal matters it's not even funny. Ok, so here's my point of view. The woman chose to dissimulate what she's really doing while pretending to be working and get time for herself - whether it is for banging someone else or whatever, it's irrelevant. In my opinion everyone in a relationship needs a secret garden where they can have something just for themselves, and that's ok. So she's lying to you. If she's commited to you in your everyday life, she makes you happy and you're satisfied with your couple, then who cares. She deserves some private space for herself and it's best for both of you, if you care about her and your relationship, that you DON'T try to find out what she's doing in these saturdays. It doesn't really matter and trust me, it usually comes a time when you get your reward for your acceptance and discretion. Think outside the box is ftw.

Wrong. If she's committed to you, there should be no problem telling you she would like some time to herself, go somewhere by herself, etc. Lies are never good in a relationship. The happiest you'll ever be us when you find someone who accepted you entirely for who you are and can be totally honest.

67 sounds like you don't know jack shit about the importance of honesty in any relationship, much less a romantic one. OP definitely should find out what's going on, especially if she's ******* someone else on the side, not only is it a ****** thing to do to someone you're in a supposedly committed relationship with, but there are potential health issues like STD's.

I'm sorry man, she may or may not be cheating but you do need to address the problem

If you work in the week, and the weekends are the only times you get together, you need some serious explanation. The relationship is in trouble unless - the boss was winding you up, she has another job on Saturdays somewhere else, or she has a convincing explanation

Scotty doesn't know, that Fiona and me...

call her and ask where she's at, when she says "work" say "weird..because I'm at your work right now" then she will pretty much have no choice but to come up with a shitty excuse (which would be a dead giveaway that this is one of those "I have to work late A.K.A go suck some sick" scenarios)

Deflate her tyre the night before and offer to drop her off Saturday morning.
