rebel_rose tells us more.
My problem is I try to speak in Russian as I do in English, so some phrases that don't quite translate sound stupid anyways . . so here, I guess I just sounded twice as stupid . . .reason this is an FML is the Japanese guy I like is in this class, and they don't talk that way . . .he wouldn't have known what I said or my mistake, if the teacher hadn't gotten shocked and translated it into English AND Japanese FML lol

I feel a lot of; in Soviet Russia... Jokes coming on.
In Soviet Russia, SHIT TAKE YOU!!!!!!!
In soviet russia, shit like YOU!
34- waaaaay better than the original FML. I was cracking up! thank you for that :)
As much as I'm sure it was embarrassing, that's not really an FML. Thats pretty hilarious. Also, you're just learning the language, I doubt theyre going to care that it wasnt quite right. Also, why not just say ploxo? (approximate) Thats what I'd always say
Actually, rebel_rose has been studying Russian for a while. It's still a funny mistake to make though, lol. H, was the professor Irina?
I never actually had Ashot! I agree, though. Irina would've laughed her ass off. Can you imagine if it had been Professor Mills or Professor Valentine??? *dies*
camentu jgut
Actually defecation is not very common in Russian slang, I wonder what verb you actually did use. Maybe one of those: http://www.russki-mat.net/e/Russian.htm
#18 = PURE WIN
lol since you didn't know it was a verb, you probably used it in the infinitive, so whatever you said wouldn't make any sense anyway. The only way it would make some sense is if you conjugated it in the first person, but in order to do that you'd have to realize that it's a verb. So what you said would translate to English roughly as "as to shit", not "as in the process of ********".
Big deal. This happens all the time when you learn a new language. I told my French girlfriend's parent that I was pregnant when I couldn't eat anymore, and that I liked when she wore her hair in a horse's ass.
Agreed. In spanish class I once translated "I want to be an astronaut when I grow up" as "I want to be a spaceship when I grow up"- we all had a good laugh & I didn't feel compelled to post a FML.
lol my French teacher told her BF's parents that too ^_^ It must've been quite awkward...
My class translated the person I get on best with is my dad directly and basically said they were good at getting on top of their fathers
Hey, taking a shit can feel goddamn awesome. Maybe that was your unorthodox way of telling them you were feeling much better.
you don't say "like shit" in Russian. You say поршиво or something. Time to learn that not all expressions work in different languages.

Why would you even say "like shit" to your professor? Maybe you should've gone with "terrible", or "ill". This would never have occurred if you possessed more tact.
Oh no, you made a mistake in a class of a language you're learning! Quick, to the internet and tell everyone how much your life is ruined by this! This is so not-FML worthy I cant even bother to click YDI.
