Chippenham?
If you want to get a good and entertaining view of it, come up here to Aberdeen. We have what is known as the worst roundabout in Britain (the Haudagain roundabout) and the torch is going to go through it during rush hour. That would be a once in a lifetime thing to see.
People get insanely rude and inconsiderate when events like that happen. Sorry, OP. At least you didn't get trampled or some shit like that.
I got up at 4:30 this morning to see the torch, in Bristol. If I could work out how to add instagram pics, I'd post mine so you could see it
I'm sure they appreciate the "look what I got to see and you didn't" moment, but I think it isn't really going to quite make up for the missed opportunity :P
The word "past" is out of context."Passed" would be the correct word unless there was a time lapse.
Where is "past" incorrect in op's post? "...as it went past" should be as it went passed? Really? True, op could have written "as it passed" but I see nothing wrong as op wrote it.
How rude. If you can, you should go to Greece and see it. It's always on display at Olympia there (although not always lit).
Who cares dude. Don't you have better things to do? Like, get a life?
Little rude, don't you think?
#45 right because telling someone they need to get a life is the epitome of having a life.
Okay CPT. crunch go set sail
I think it's more about the incident than the missed opportunity. I'd give a damn if I missed out on something I wanted to see because some jackass shoved me aside at the last second and injured me too, I don't think having a life negates that point.
Do you live on Dublin? It was there not to long ago.
The torch is coming through my.town soon but I wont be going to see it. It'll probably rain and extingush it anyway.

Quick, get to the next town! It's a one in a 4 year chance to see it.
Soo... It was only there for a brief second?
