Why don't you get the Invisaline ones? I had them, and never had an issue. Not only that, but no one ever knew that I had braces (that is, if you're self-conscious about them).
FUNNING
i've had braces for close to two years now and after removing it, i was given a removable jaw clip to wear for 6 months which kept slipping out at nights, and now my lower set of teeth is starting to developing a tiny gap which i don't care now, but i'm of thinking of getting it corrected by getting another removable clip for lower jaw
I had to wear braces for slightly under two years because I had an extremely bad overbite. It was so bad I could touch my tongue using my pinky, while my teeth were closed shut. Afterwards I used a retainer at night for a few years. Now I'm completely fine. If you had to go 5 1/2 years with braces and STILL need more then YOU have oviously done something wrong by not following directions. You can't just sit there and expect things are going to go fine without you having to do anything. YDI
That's why you get metal threads stuck to your teeth until you're fully grown. Also two years is normal for braces and more than three years is a scam.
I feel you OP, I had mine on for 5 years and my orthodontist said I have to get them again. A few months later he said he won't put them back on. My orthodontist dumped me and my teeth is even worse than 7 years ago. FML
I've got invisalign!! That thing is amazing, less than 1.5yrs and my teeth look GREAT!!! Not PERFECT, but i am very happy with the results, that bitch was damn crazy though, i spent $6500
Ohh man... I can only imagine how you feel. I've only had mine for 4 years, but still. I think I'd refuse them lol. Sometimes, I swear like the orthodontist does things like that purposely to make life even more hell.
What about getting a second opinion?

I had a sister who had that same problem, except she decided to get surgery instead. 5 years later it's like she never had an under bite. Maybe, if you want to, you can do the same thing and get surgery over braces
I'm not surprised. Dentists are some sadistic bastards.
