You went to the doctor for a sore throat?? Ehhh... Unless you were worried about it being tonsilitis i'm not totally sure it'd have been the best use of his time anyway. Best off getting some yummy throat sweets!
time for a new doctor?
That dr is a quack! Sore throat usualy symptom of something serious that otc doesn't cure or make it go away. It could be tumor or parasite, even splinter if you don't know what ya ate.
ibuprofen helps me with sore throat. and dont speak much
Doctor? you went to the doctor for a sore throat. Why don't you just take Novamoxin 2-3 times a day for 2-4 weeks. Not only will you get better... but you won't have to pay to see the doctor and look at his pictures.
Australia has socialised medicine. Medicare pays.
If you're talking about strep throat, it is rational to get antibiotics. Because...GASP...strep throat is caused by bacteria. Yes, antibiotics are overprescribed for viruses. But strep throat can lead to serious complications such as rheumatic fever (which can cause permeant damage to the heart valves) and kidney issues. Strep throat can be fought off by the body's own defenses, but it is best not to take the risk.

hippie doctor....
Did he drive up in a fried-out combie? From the hippie trail, head full of zombie? He's probably right about the vitamins -- it's good to see there are some doctors out there who are not in the pocket of Big Pharma . . . or, for that matter, Big Shoe ;)
