Today, I went to the doctor to get a blood test and I started crying when I saw the needle. I planned on becoming a doctor. FML

I hate needles when they are going into me. However I have no problem with giving other people shots or starting IVs. A wise woman once told me "needles are better to give than to receive."

I hate needles too. look at it like I do, no possible way to get mixed up with heroin hahah “hey kid want some dope?" ‘is that a needle?? ahhhhhhh!'

It's ok, I get nauseous any time I give blood or get an IV. I have 16 tattoos... Perhaps the outcome makes me feel better? Anyhoo OP, maybe you just need to build up your tolerance. GL!

Meh you don't see the needles entering on tattoos and they don't penetrate like the shots do

I am afraid of needles and hate seeing my own blood but I am a doctor. It's much easier to see others blood and guts, I just think "hey it's not mine so no problem"
