Today, I went to the hospital with a broken hand. They gave me a cast and some prescription pain medication. The only problem is that the bottle of medication is child-proof, I live alone and I can't open it with one hand. FML

I think the best solution is hold the bottle between your thighs while sitting down and then twist the cap. Seems like it might work. Good luck!

Break it open and put the pain meds in a zip lock baggie.... If your actually in pain you will figure it out.

mm, you could just hold it between your knees and twist the top off with your good hand(:

Take it to the closest pharmacy. They have pop off tops for cases like yours. :)

Think on the bright side here... If you can't open it, you'll have a full bottle of prescription painkillers to derp around with after your hand heals.

Hope you feel better soon. Try one of the previous suggestions, there have been some good ones. If all else fails, comfort yourself with the fact you're competent enough to type well with one hand. I don't know what some of these people were on about but assuming you can't type punctuation with a single hand is ****ing ridiculous.

go back to the pharmacy and ask if they have a different type of bottle. if they don't, i know they sell devices to make it easier for people with arthritis. (I recently had hand surgery, so I know what a pain in the butt those things are, especially when you're in pain and out of it from medication). Good luck, OP

Use ur second pare of hands (feet) 2 hold the bottle as u open it, I used my feet when I could not use my wrist for a month, my second hands came in handy and have been using them since :)
