Today, I went to the mall. A little girl was walking around and telling everyone that they were pretty. When she got to me, she gave me a disgusted look and walked away. FML

You should have looked her dead in the eyes, and told her, "If you don't tell me I'm pretty right now, I will follow you to your house, and make you watch as I kick out your mothers knee caps." I bet that woulda worked. XD

I'm probably going to get down voted for this. but, who cares. 1. she's a kid; get over it. 2. she can have an opinion on who's pretty and who isn't (granted, could have been done without the disgusted look) 3. we always teach children to be honest, so she is honest and gets called a bitch and everything else. I don't get it.

right. but is she supposed to lie and say she's pretty, too when she obviously doesn't feel that way? again, she could have done without the disgusted look, but obviously that didn't happen. and at least she walked away instead of telling OP how she really felt.

It is true that children should be taught to be honest, but if they are raised properly they should also be taught not to be rude and to have respect when it comes to being honest. Honesty can cause the worst kind of hurt at times.

I don't know about you, but I was taught if I have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Of course she can be honest, but its best to just keep some things to yourself.

if honesty hurts you, you should do something about it. for example if someone is ugly that should motivate them to like get plastic surgery or somethin' ya know. nothing wrong with making changes for the better :] xo
