why would you... smh =_=
okay just gonna state my opinion so dont hate on me for having a mind and then saying that you should think for yourself -.- okay well you should always have emegrancy money on you in case thats one thing, second i only assuming since he asked you out you thought he would pay and maybe if it were vice versa then you would pay for him if thats not what goes in your head and you think that you are above higher standers and go dance on sugar daddys then ya you deserve it :P but im guessing its not the latter
It's outdated to think the guy will always pay... And even if he did, what if some emergency came up afterwards and you needed cash? For all you know he could've planned on you each paying for your own ticket and then him paying for the snacks (which at my theater are about the same as a ticket...) he isn't automatically a douche.
Whoever asks, man or woman, should be the one to pay, but always bring your own cash! What if you want to bail because they turn into a jerk and they're your ride? Forget the bad idea of assuming for a minute and try to become more of a Boy Scout.
i don't get why, just because I'm a guy, we are expected to pay despite girls being fully capable. I pay for both of us because it would seem rude if I didn't, but its ironic because you have feminists wanting equality when they ignore the common things men have to do in life.
Honestly, I hope he didn't pay and went to enjoy the movie by himself. Did her even say date? Or was he asking you as a friend and you just assumed. It's freaking 2013(2014), women and men are independent people! Ffs OP
I always have money and pay for myself because I think it's just polite. Or I pay for them because it's not just the guys job all the time... Girls can pay for guys too
Usually it's whoever asked the person out. If a guy asks a guy out then he should pay, but if the girl asks the guys out then she should pay.
I always make sure they know they're paying for me. I want a gentlemen that pays for his date not a boy that doesn't.

Never, ever, assume
Contrary to popular belief it's ignorant to be so confident in this "rule" that you don't bring your own money, I believe it was totally deserved in this case. This doesn't mean I don't believe the guy should pay though so don't get confused.
