Today, I went to the park and sat down on a bench to enjoy my coffee. I heard a few young girls behind me talking about how their first experience of sex was. I turned around to see how old these girls really were. One of them was my daughter. FML

You're obviously not very observant. What kind of parent sits in front of their child and doesn't notice them, and then doesn't recognize their voice when sitting close enough to hear the entire conversation? If your daughter is young enough for this to be truly a 'life-******* situation' to you, you should be keeping better tabs on what she's doing in the first place.

and actually there isn't a positive way to check. she could be atheletic if her hymen is broken, and some girls are born without them in the first place. it could be maturbating if they find tearing. and I agree with above comment. that's horrible. people have sex, and it being your daughter is no excuse to humiliate her. it was going to happen eventually. so it's not only embarassing, it's a total waste of time. I feel sorry for your children. they must be afraid to have friends.

I also commented to tell you I agree one hundred percent. and if I were him, it'd be a bit weird to turn around to litsen and see who was talking about sex in public. that's just rude and a tad bit creepy. maybe background noise was loud as well. maybe he didn't care enough to immediatly think it was his daugter. people are jumping to conlusions here, but just because the dad doesn't think his daughter is a *****, doesn't mean he'll immediatly turn around. that last part probabaly didn't make sense but it kinda does. to me at least. Who said the girls were talking loudly? OP never said how close he was to them. As far as discussing sex, my friends and I talk about it all the time. Usually it's at someone's house, but sometimes we talk about it in public. Though not who we've had sex with, just sex in general.
