lol that happened to me once. i woke up and took a shower and when i got dressed to look at the time it was 4:45am. i usually have to be dressed by 6:50. i just went back to sleep.

I hate when that happens. That's why I own a clock.

This has happened to me before. It's usually because I used to wake up at the right time without the need of an arlarm clock - so I only look at the clock right before I'm about to leave the house. So, once, I woke up really really early (like 3am) and took a shower and got dressed without realizing it was so early.

For those who believe OP deserves it for not checking the clock, not everyone checks the clock the moment they wake up. If OP was using their phone as an alarm and someone called them with the same tone, they probably didn't bother checking the time and assumed it was time to start the day. As for gathering the courage to get up and take a shower, sometimes it's freakin COLD in the morning and you want to just stay under the blankets to stay warm, rather than venturing down that hall to take a warm shower. And many people in school or even with work wake up at the ass-crack of dawn, so it wouldn't be any surprise to the OP that there was very little daylight coming from the window. If you haven't been there, then you don't know what it's like, therefore you have no right to determine if OP really deserved this or not. Not everyone goes to work when there's obvious daylight. Same goes for school.

OMG i did the EXACT same thing last year! it pissed me off so much! i was supposed to wake up at like 6:30 and ended up waking up a like 2 in the morning for some reason. I seriously feel your pain. -liz
