Today, I woke up to my little sister strangling me. My parents accused me of making the red marks on my throat myself to exaggerate how bad it was. She's just "going through a phase", they say, and I'm a bad person for punching her to get her off me. FML

Today, I was sitting on my younger sister's bed while I was on my phone. She came in the room and pushed me off the bed, and I ended up slicing the skin under my eye. Now, my parents are forcing me to pay for the injury for "hanging off the bed". FML

How old is your sister? Even if I knew and it was still a small child, I do not believe it's appropriate behaviour for any child to be doing that and should not just be shrugged off as a phase.

Get a lock for your door ASAP. Easy enough to buy from a department store or hardware store and you can install it yourself. And WTF on the parents defending her - clearly she is the favourite child. They will probably still defend her if she manages to actually kill you during your sleep. I see her future involving jail time for stalking a future BF and killing him. Once you are old enough/have enough funds - move out.
