Today, in a big argument, my sister uninvited my mom to her wedding. Trying to comfort my mom, I rented Mamma Mia knowing she's wanted to see it for a while. Turns out, Mamma Mia is a mother/daughter feel-good about the daughters wedding. I had no idea, and my mom cried the whole movie. FML

YDI for making her watch Mamma Mia.

Pretty sure on the cover there's a bride.....at least thats what the playbill looked like for the play...hard to miss...especially with all the buzz about it. YDI...sorry

Hey, at least your mom didn't try to commit suicide and by trying to cheer her up you rent Groundhog's Day, because as that movie states at the back of the box 'its a comedy'.

Kind of like when I took my mom to see Marley & Me on her birthday. dear GOD that was terrible. anyway i dont get why you didn't read the back of the box. or why she didn't speak up, if she's been wanting to see it obviously she knows what its about, she could've told you.

wow, your sister's a bitch. why the **** would she uninvite her own mother? something big must've went down, or she's one overreacting bitch.

All you people saying "why didn't you read the back of the box?" are plain idiots. It's the most common fallacy, and you sheep are falling victim. If your mother has been talking about wanting to see it, you have NO REASON to read the back of the box, you're getting the movie for her, not for you. You dont; need to see if it'd be interesting. But, since hindsight is 20/20, you're all saying "oh, i woulnd't do that. It results in bad consequences". Friggin historians fallacy.

I probably wouldn't have chosen anything with the word "mom" or "mamma" in its title. That's just setting up for a fail. Which you managed to do. Poor mother. You tried, eh?

an honest mistake, i feel bad for your mum.
