Today, in a big argument, my sister uninvited my mom to her wedding. Trying to comfort my mom, I rented Mamma Mia knowing she's wanted to see it for a while. Turns out, Mamma Mia is a mother/daughter feel-good about the daughters wedding. I had no idea, and my mom cried the whole movie. FML

Today, I was at the movies with my mom and dad, and the preview to my "My Sisters Keeper" came on. The trailer started out with "Most babies are accidents..." Right as that line was finished my mom elbowed me and laughed. FML

Today, my mother thought it would be a wonderful idea to make me late for me own wedding. It wouldn't be so bad if she hadn't focused solely on my sister because my wedding didn't center on her. The sister in question snubbed being my maid of honor over a year ago, and just decided to randomly show up. FML

Today, I called my mom to make sure she could attend on the wedding day my fiancé and I had discussed. She started off with criticizing the venue we considered, then went on to criticize my fiancé, and then stated she would under no circumstances help out, but demanded to pick my wedding dress. FML

Today, it seems my mom didn’t believe me when I told her multiple times I was not going to my nasty bitch sister's wedding. Then she acted surprised and outraged when, shocker, I didn’t go, and has been leaving me texts and voicemails for over an hour. FML

Today, my sister backed out of my wedding because it was becoming too much about me. After I begged her to reconsider, I had no choice but to pick a new bridesmaid. When my new bridesmaid posted on Facebook how excited she was, my sister commented, "See, you made HER feel special." FML

She says if I don’t go, I’m being selfish, and she wants to see her “baby girls” bonding one last time before she dies. Wow. A lot of hate for the sister. Without knowing what happened, I don't think it's at all fair to say that she's evil for wanting to remove a person who causes grief from her wedding.

Not a YDI. Your mom wanted to watch it, so you might not have thought much. It's natural. Also, since when not knowing what a film is about is a crime? If you're arguing that it's everywhere, the economic crisis is on the news everywhere, and I bet many people don't understand what it's about. (Not to mention that the crisis affects you more than a film.)

Just a comment about the movie: Die-Hard fans of ABBA stayed away from that movie. Fans of the musicals tend to stay away from the movie adaptations: Rent,Hairspray. If OP is a guy,I doubt he would've watched the movie if it wasn't to cheer up his ma. Not everyone even females are into sappy sickly sweet movies like that. If I wanted to watch it,I'd just pop in a CD of ABBA and get my dose of it. Mamma mia can also be an exclamation of surprise and shock. My mother is a LITERAL translation.

Seriously? You had no idea? I mean... watch the trailer, or read the box... try to find some information on it. even I knew it was a musical about a mother/daughter wedding, and who the real father was for the bride... and I got all of that from a 25 seconds commercial. On a completely unrelated note, your sister is cruel... I hope she didn't mean it, and I hope she gets to attend the wedding, no parent should have to miss their child's wedding, it is one of those things that parents are pretty much entitled too.

Ok, your sister is an attention *****. She will reinvite your mother to the wedding or everyone AT the wedding will be asking where your mother is and your sisters "SPECIAL DAY" will be ruined since everyone will be judging the bride as a cold-hearted bitch who doesn't invite her mother to share her SPECIAL DAY. Send you sister an e-mail asking her to re-think her decision in light of this. Good luck!
