Today, in marching band, the guy in front of me backed up too far. As we turned, the back of his trombone hit mine, smashing it into my lip. I had to finish the song, sending blood down my horn. FML

Same thing different taste

Today, I was preparing to perform with my marching band at a competition. Right before we went on, a tuba player friend of mine offered to help me stretch. He wound up snapping my bra. I'm a drum major, and had to conduct the entire show while my boobs were falling out. FML

Today, during a moment of silence in front of the entire high school during my band concert, I managed to hit the stand with my flute, and loudly scrambled to catch it before it fell over. I've never had so many people look at me. FML

Today, my band was playing its first serious gig. I was in the middle of a solo when a drunk guy tackled me, causing me to crash into the drums, breaking them and my guitar, hitting our drummer, knocking him out. FML

Today, I was in band rehearsing for a big concert coming up. Since the band was practicing with the orchestra and there weren’t enough seats, we had to stand. My back was facing everyone when my friend tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to my ass. I got my period and everyone saw the stain. FML

Today, I performed a piano piece at a school play. Everything went well until I got up and accidentally smashed my shin against one of the piano legs. Before I could bite my tongue, I'd already yelled "Fucking hell!" in front of about 50 second graders. FML

Today, the drummer from my favorite band threw a drumstick into the crowd during a concert. It hit me on the head and bounced into my friend's hands. She left with a drumstick from a band she didn't want to see in the first place. I left with a bruise. FML

Today, my friends and I got front stage tickets to our favorite band. Being my first concert, we planned to start a small mosh pit in the back. I got knocked out by my best friend's elbow and was rushed to the hospital, during the first song. FML

56, you would be surprised at how smart you have to be to play an insturment. Reading music is like being able to speak another language. And judging from your unfortunate spelling, you aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Go back to your video games and be a loser. At least we have talent. BAND GEEKS FOR LIFE! <3

If the back of his trombone was that close to your head and you being BEHIND him. you were already up his ass to start with and if you were SMART you would have SEEN he was going to hit you if you had indeed done the drill 1000 times in the last week like normal band nerds do. OR at the very least taken the horn from your mouth if you saw he was too close and might hit you. ~trombonist - 6 years marching band

french horns are their OWN instrument. a french horn NEVER replaces a trombone, that's what marching baritones are for

one time, one of the guys in my section got hit right on the bell of his trumpet by the guard and the mouthpiece smashed into his mouth. it split his lip, and he had to fake play at our competition that weekend.

Ouch sounds like that hurt. You know was in band when I was in high school. I was also on colorguard and my band teacher actually gave the colorguard permission to hit the band with our flags if they were in our spot on the field by saying they'll move if you do.
