Today, it's -20°C outside. Half way through my thirty minutes walk to work, my boss pulled up beside me in her car, said "You look cold. I'll see you at work." And then drove away. FML

Props for even walking there. It was -40 in Calgary last week. I sympathize.

That bitch! People are such dicks nowadays.

Unfortunately the REST OF THE WORLD uses Celcius. So screw YOU.

You should ask the Doc for a prescription to heal that burn he just gave you.

Yeah the whole world uses celsius but in that guy's defense, I'd much rather use Fahrenheit because there are smaller gaps between degrees so you have a more accurate idea of how cold it'll be. Such as 0 degrees celsius is 32 Fahrenheit and 25 degrees Celsius is 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Big difference

A more accurate idea of how cold it will be? If you can't tell that 0 degrees Celcius is cold and that 10 is a little warmer and 20 is pretty balmy and 30 is ******* hot, then you're a moron. Do you REALLY need to know if it's 68 degrees Fahrenheit versus 70? No, didn't think so. Your argument is as stupid as Americans' need to hold on to their ridiculous Imperial System.

55 - ever heard of a decimal? Anyways, 1 C is plenty accurate considering the average person can at best guess the temperature within 5 C.

You really don't have to get upset at people because they prefer using a different unit for temperature...

become a computer nerd ;) most hardware monitoring software reads out Celcius. i liked it cause now i know Celcius and Fahrenheit

82, what are you talking about? Weren't we created to hate on each other and bring each other down for being different in any possible way? Just read all these comments and you'll find out :)

55, The funny thing about numbers is that when you use decimal places you can be as accurate as you like... Your point is especially irrelevant since the average person only needs an integer value for their daily weather report.

I don't wanna have to worry with decimals. One simple number is good enough for me! I'll admit the metric system is superior in many ways but Celsius temperature system just doesn't seem accurate. I think the U.S. should go metric but keep Fahrenheit. I'd rather know its 65 F than 18.26272 Celsius.

Youre all just jealous you dont live in the greatest country in the world THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITY but for real we live way better lives

I may be used to Farenheit, but I will go with celsius. ...and no #172, i'm not jealous for "Ammuricah", and neither is the other majority of the 6 billion human beings on earth, and I'm American. Take your Nationalism somwhere else!

172, When did this become about which country is better? Nobody is jealous of someone who has no idea what's going on.

163, Wait, a minute ago you were discussing accuracy, suddenly when we point out that it is just as accurate you reference not using that method over what's easier...you don't even have a valid argument do you? You just don't like it because it looks foreign and you can't interpret the numbers, the same way as the rest of the world feels about your system.

Because none of the weather shows use decimals. And because Fahrenheit is so reliable. We have no need for decimals!

Why is everyone fighting about fahrenheit and celsius. If your in America use Fahrenheit and if you live somewhere else use celsius. Or whatever you prefer. There is no no 'better' system. It's all preference. Or which one you prefer. Sidenote: Wow Americans have such a bad name. I guess I can see what people are coming from I guess...

Only the civil countries use Celsius. Which means my country is far from civilization because I live in America unfortantly, was was born here too. I prefer metric but this backwards country won't let me.

That's when I would've turned around and gone home. I'd then would call in sick with hypothermia.

That's f*cked! I'd be a "good employee" and bring her a Starbucks with a shot of exlax! She'd deserve it!!!!

Why would you suck up to your boss after she was a douch? Actually why would someone ever suck up to their boss

Do you even know what exlax is? It's a laxative, makes you shit all day. #32 wasn't suggesting you suck up...

Though that is very ****** up of him/her they couldn't of given you a ride.

Try walking in -50, -20 isn't that bad.

-20°C is cold for the average person, especially for an hour long walk. Just because you've experienced colder temperatures, does not mean the OP's situation isn't bad.

1 question, now im totally not creeping here but the pick looked cool, but,im confused what the tattoo says, can anyone clarify

It says "Serio sed serio." It means "Late but in earnest."

Sero sed serio which means "late but in earnest". My dads Scottish and tha'ts his clans motto.

That's cool :-) and thanks for the clarifications :-)!

It's like, I don't want to advocate criminal activity, but you have to admit slashing your boss's tyres would seem like a really good idea after that... sorry your boss is such a tosser, OP.

Or maybe just letting the air out of one tire... One random day of the week, every week for a few months.

just remember when she really needs someone to come in,and then dont answer your phone.
