How did you get home then? :O
wow your boss is a dumbass. taking a bus is no different from driving yourself, the roads have to be clear either way. your boss better have given you a ride home.
amen!
Buses get cancelled before its too bad for cars, your boss lacks any concept of public transport.
what an asshole boss
You should call a cab and expense it to the company. Kick up enough shit about it, being asked to stay and all, etc - and your boss should oblige. Not that you should have to kick up a fuss, a simple explanation of no buses being available = cab, should be all that's required to expense your ride. GL
A good answer. I would hope that inept boss would have to explain the expenditure and the reason for it to superiors.
Tough break, same sort of thing for me my school is the only one open in the area and my bus was the only one running today sucks :/
And now you make your retarded boss drive you home.
Snowing badly? I love the snow.
The employee is always responsible for his/her own transportation regardless of the situation. Live and learn and always have a "Plan B".
Plan B: Next time say your friend is picking you up and you've got to walk to meet them. Then go to a bus stop out of the line of vision. Better than getting screwed by your idiot boss. Look out for yourself, as this person has mentioned, your job certainly won't do it for you.
I don't think your reply actually makes sense, but are you suggesting that the employee has responsibility for his boss's actions? Idiot.
Actually, because the manager made the decision for her, it's the manager's fault. The employee WAS responsible, the manager wasn't. (Or are you saying she should have just said **** it and walked out?) The place my mum worked at until about 2 years ago would either let you leave, or if you were kind enough to stay, they would offer you a cot in the back if it got too bad, or a ride home. FYL, dear.
