Today, it's been three months since my sister broke her car, meaning she couldn't get to work, and I've giving her money every month so she could buy food and so on. I just found out that her workplace is less than 200 metres from where she lives. FML

Time to tell her to get her ChevroLegs tuned up or get some new Lamborfeeties.

You should have looked into it sooner.

Given or lent her the money? If you're not expecting to get reimbursed, your sister is really taking advantage of your kind spirit.

wow.. I would just go walking to save on gas.. she didn't need to be driving to work. shit I wish I lived that close to my job.

I walk to work, and I live 4 kilometers away. Yes, I have a car.

Good for you.. and I mean that in a non sarcastic way.

Not everyone is physically capable of that or lives in a safe enough neighborhood. My housemate has foot problems that would make that impossible. She merely takes a taxi from work on shifts when the buses don't run.

That's ridiculous... Not a very good sister.

That awkward moment when you're an American and don't use the metric system.

I'm not American but I'm pretty sure they at least teach some metric, it's less than a mile

I'm from the USA too and i know that 1600 meters equals a mile so 200 meters is approximately 1/8 of a mile.

They definitely teach you the metric system. The conversions are also inside of text books and notebooks so the reason you don't know it is your own ignorance

200 meters = 3 minutes leisurely paced walking.

It says that op's is from Denmark, though? Denmark has unforced the metric system since 1907.

Edit: I realize now you were most likely talking about yourself. Where I still pose the question as to why, when almost every other country has converted to the metric system, we should accommodate you solely because you're American?

Some people just like to take advantage of others for no good reason. Don't use it against her :)

**** that, beat her ass. That's too damn lazy.

You should drive her 400 meters away, kick her out and make her walk

Even then it wouldn't be a long walk. I have to walk 900 metres each day from the bus stop to my house. Takes about 10-15 minutes.
