Today, it's Christmas Day. Normally, my family would be opening gifts right now. Instead, my mom is holding our gifts hostage until we clean the house. Apparently, "The presents aren't going anywhere." FML

Unless you have a 5 story mansion with tons of rooms and she wants you to clean all windows, floors, ceiling etc then it's not really that bad.

if you can't bother to clean the presents should go back to the store. Are you 4? your mom shouldn't have to ask or hold presents hostage you should volunteer and not whine. we couldn't afford presents this year but we have a clean house and fun being together.

This isnt an fml. If she made you clean as a present to her and making her happy was your present then maybe THAT would be an fml but not this. Be grateful at least youre getting presents
